MD5 & Encryption
MD5 is a one way hashing algorithm which means
that once you encode private text using it, it's
virtually impossible to decrypt it due to the vast
amounts of computing power that would be necessary.
MD5 is used for hashing/encrypting passwords we
store in our database. dressnimpress employ high
levels of encrytion for your personal details using
128bit cyptography methods to store these details
in our database system.

AVS Address Verification System and CV2
At dressnimpress we take Credit Card Fraud very
seriously, for this reason we take multiple steps
and enforce certain rules to prevent it. All orders
made through our site are validated using address
verification techniques to ensure that the address
entered on an order EXACTLY matches that of the
credit card holders. This is checked against the
card issuer's bank and once verified the order will
only be shipped to the address of the card holder.
As well as using AVS we also use CV2 code verification
this is the security code printed on the signature
strip of your card, and like AVS is verified against
the card issuer's bank system.

3D-Secure
To fight the battle of Credit Card Fraud here at
dressnimpress.co.uk we have implemented SECPays 3D-Secure
online, real time credit card authorisation system.
This method of authorisation is available to those
cardholders who are enrolled into the 3D-Secure
program. If the cardholder is enrolled in the program,
an authorisation window from the card holders bank
(card issuer i.e. visa) will open during the transaction
process asking for the card holders security password
to verify they are the person named on the card.
Once verification is complete the transaction follows
through as normal.
Our secure payment processor SecPay (recommended by
Lloyds TSB and other leading high street banks) handles
your payment details. When you shop with a merchant
who uses SecPay you can be assured that your card details
are securely encrypted during transport over the Internet
so no one can read your card information. The card details
are only transported to a Bank to authorise your purchase.
